JOB SUMMARY
The Enterprise Architect (EA) is a strategic individual contributor position responsible for overseeing the
design, development, and maintenance of the organization's Enterprise IT Systems. This includes
developing standards, maintaining documentation, auditing adherence to standards and collaborating
across regions where appropriate. This role will drive the implementation of scalable and reliable software
platforms and interfaces, ensuring data accessibility, integrity, and security across the enterprise. The role
will collaborate closely with Director of Data Engineering, Technical Product Managers, and the Enterprise
PMO. The role will report directly to the VP of Product and Application Development.
RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Strategic Planning
· Collaborate with senior management to define the enterprise's strategic goals and
objectives.
· Develop and maintain the enterprise architecture framework, ensuring alignment with
business goals and objectives.
· Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvement through the effective use of
technology.
2. Architecture Development
· Design and develop the overall IT architecture, including application, data, and technology
architectures.
· Create and maintain architecture models, standards, and guidelines.
· Ensure that the architecture supports scalability, security, and sustainability.
3. Technology Integration
· Evaluate and recommend new technologies and tools to support business needs.
· Ensure seamless integration of new technologies with existing systems and processes.
· Oversee the implementation of technology solutions, ensuring they align with the
architecture framework.
4. Governance and Compliance
· Establish and enforce architectural standards, policies, and procedures.
· Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
· Conduct regular architecture reviews and audits to ensure adherence to standards.
5. Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and external partners to understand
requirements and deliver solutions.
· Provide guidance and support to project teams, ensuring alignment with the enterprise architecture. · Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner. 6. Risk Management · Identify and mitigate architectural risks, ensuring the resilience and reliability of IT systems. · Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans. 7. Continuous Improvement · Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends. · Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the IT department.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
u ¨ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical
field.
u ¨ 8+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles, with a strong
technical background.
u ¨ Proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise-wide IT architecture.
PREFERRED SKILLS
u ¨ Extensive knowledge of Microsoft data engineering technologies, tools, and platforms (e.g., Azure,
Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory, Azure Microservices Architecture).
u ¨ Expertise in data modeling, data warehousing, ETL processes, and data integration methodologies,
with a focus on Microsoft solutions.
u ¨ Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security principles and best
practices
u ¨ Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
u ¨ Effective communication and stakeholder management abilities, including experience collaborating
with global teams.
u ¨ Experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies is highly desirable.
u ¨ Strong leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills.
