Job Description:
The Director of Cybersecurity Engineering and Operations will provide leadership and strategic direction for a global team focused on delivering best-in-class security services. The primary responsibility will be optimizing and maturing the team’s capabilities, fostering innovation, and implementing cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions to protect Client's assets and systems. This role involves managing and mentoring dynamic teams across the US and globally, driving performance, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide a global team of cybersecurity analysts, engineers, and incident responders, ensuring they are equipped with the skills, tools, and processes needed to defend against cyber events.
- Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies, identifying risks across cloud services, applications, and infrastructure, and proactively addressing them.
- Influence security operations performance, identify gaps, and prioritize resources for skill development and future planning.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and conduct regular audits to assess compliance.
- Oversee talent planning, career development, and performance evaluations for the team, driving continuous optimization.
- Participate in agile ceremonies such as iteration planning and backlog management.
- Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders and report on the status of key deliverables.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in the technology industry, with at least 3 years in a cybersecurity leadership role.
- Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, set strategic direction, and effectively communicate cybersecurity priorities across the organization.
- Strong technical expertise in various cybersecurity domains, including Network Security, Endpoint Security (EDR), IdM/IAM/PAM, SIEM, Cloud Security (AWS/Azure), and more.
- Experience with security technologies like Zscaler, SOAR, DLP, UEBA, Cloud Access Security Brokers, and Vulnerability Management.
- Solid understanding of network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, firewalls, proxies, IDS, and IPS.
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GSEC, CCSP, CEH, or OSCP are a plus.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present complex cybersecurity issues to senior leadership.
