As a member of the global Data Governance team within the GRS Data Office you will be
representing the voice of the customer and the organization through the delivery of business
value. You have the responsibility for managing stakeholder relationships; working closely with
stakeholders (business and technology), including Line of Business leadership, you will help
define and prioritize the Data Governance work, ensuring alignment with customer needs and
organizational goals. You will be required to understand our customers' problems in detail and
ensure the problems are clearly defined, prioritized and the working teams are focused on the
most valuable work.

requirements, and to proactively demonstrate compliance with these at all times.
What you need to know:
Strategy: Feed into the Data Quality and Metadata Management vision and strategy
and partner with the Data Office leaders and partners, as well as business and functional
leaders and teams in validating and implementing the strategy.
Operating Model: Help implement the enterprise operating model including roles,
responsibilities, and consistent processes across the organization and throughout the
entire data lifecycle - ensuring the most effective and efficient outcomes.
Data Governance Tools: Help to implement and enrich the Data Governance and Data
Quality tools influencing the organizations priority and maintenance of these platforms.
Maintain/Improve these environments from a best practices perspective as our strategy
and operating model evolve. Support the technical owners of each platform from the
perspective of planning, implementing, and testing bug fixes, setting up new features,
and assisting with upgrades.
Align with Other Data Management Disciplines: Engage with Data Stewards, Data
Privacy, Master / Reference Data Management, BI and Data Warehousing, Data
Science, and other teams to ensure data quality and metadata management activity
aligns with the other capability needs. Ensure collaboration and consistency across
these teams and in conversations with similar stakeholders.
Standards, Best Practices, and Procedures: Support development and maintenance
of standards, best practices, and procedures. Conduct periodic reviews of the Data
Governance toolsets to ensure compliance with the data governance standards and
policies.
Data Culture and Communication: Support the One GRS Data culture by designing,
defining and organizing training and communications to ensure an excellent customer
experience with our team and our tools.
Qualifications:
An undergraduate degree in a relevant field or proven experience in Data Management
and Governance roles.
5+ years in Data Management, Data Governance, Data Quality or a relevant field.
5+ years must be in the financial services or insurance industry.
An understanding of principles, procedures, and skills associated with data quality and
metadata management and strong understanding of Data Management and Governance
practices.
Experience in delivering global Data Governance and Master Data capability across
global regions, respecting and balancing local differences whilst delivering global
solutions.
Have a track record of applying Data Scanning, Data Lineage, Data Quality and Data
Dictionary capabilities to a global organization (Ideally)
Sustainment of data governance policies, including basic analysis and communication of
potential impacts of policy changes
Create and maintain technical documentation in support of data governance program
Train and educate the wider business on data governance best practices and standards
Team player with a highly motivated, positive, and collaborative attitude.
Excellent verbal and written communications, presentations skills, and high attention to
detail.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced
environment and with changing priorities and the ability to effectively prioritize multiple
tasks to meet tight deadlines.
Ability to influence change and drive results. Must be a self-motivated driver to identify
issues and resolve them quickly.
Ability to troubleshoot problem areas, identify gaps and issues, and remediate.
