DevOps Engineer

Job Description: 

This role is part of the Wealth Management tech exec portfolio, that build technology solution enabling wealth management bookkeeping, client correspondence, client servicing and private bank businesses. DevOps Engineer is critical to ensure software deployments are configured to meet standards for access, ownership, and authentication and that software promotion release pipelines are well designed and follow Continuous Delivery (CD) best practices. As SME, the role enables integration of development, testing practices, software delivery tools, and runtime application standards at the bank. DevOps stability improvement allows developers to devote their time to core application development. The ideal candidate will have 5+yrs experience in the specific technology/roles, strong communication (written & verbal), and have a client centric solution mindset. This is lead role and the person will be communicating with various teams like Developers, Tech Managers, and CI-CD Operations.
Position Summary
• Analyze current state of adoption and identify opportunities to improve adoption and quality
• Address architectural, technical, procedural and skill challenges limiting CI/CD automation adoption
• Drive continuous improvements in CI/CD engineering and contribute overall health
• Build proactive CI/CD thinking right from the design stage than as an after fact

Required Skills
Primary Skill - Understand CI-CD process
Secondary Skill - process engineering
Tertiary Skill - tools expertise

• Strong CI/CD concepts and experience of CI/CD suite of tools and their integration
• Experience with Agile collaboration tools Jira and Confluence
• Build orchestration using Jenkins
• Experience engineering BitBucket, Junit/nUnit, SonarQube, Artifactory tools
• Engineering experience with release automation tools like XLRelease and deployment automation using Ansible, Datical
• Hands-on experience in installing, configuring, operating, and monitoring CI/CD pipeline tools
• Experience in excerpting metrics and results from CI/CD instrumentation driving continuous improvements
• Prior Bank of America SDM/Horizon experience
