Overview
The Manual Testing role is crucial in ensuring the quality of our software products. Manual Testing is responsible for identifying and documenting any defects in the software and ensuring that it meets the specified requirements. As a Manual Tester, you will play a key role in ensuring the functionality, usability, and performance of our products, ultimately contributing to a positive user experience.
Key responsibilities
Reviewing and analyzing system specifications
Executing test cases and analyzing results
Reporting and documenting technical issues
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Identifying, isolating, and tracking bugs throughout testing
Creating test plans and test cases based on project requirements
Conducting exploratory testing to evaluate software performance
Participating in regression testing
Providing feedback on usability and functionality
Developing and maintaining testing procedures and guidelines
Collaborating with developers to improve overall product quality
Conducting post-release/ post-implementation testing
Ensuring compliance with industry best practices and standards
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
Reviewing and refining software testing methods
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
Proven experience as a Manual Tester or similar role
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices
Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
Knowledge of SQL and scripting
Experience with test management tools
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communication and collaboration abilities
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
Familiarity with Agile development methodologies
Understanding of SDLC and STLC
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
Certification in software testing is a plus
