Job Description:

Goldman Sachs is seeking skilled Python Developers with strong programming expertise to join their in Dallas, TX and/or Salt Lake City, UT. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of hands-on experience in Python development, with a solid background in writing, testing, and debugging Python code for various projects. The role requires a deep understanding of popular Python frameworks, distributed storage systems, and CI/CD pipelines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and debug Python code for various projects.
  • Work with popular Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or Pyramid.
  • Utilize distributed storage systems including DB2, Sybase/Sybase IQ, and MongoDB.
  • Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git.
  • Work within a Unix/Linux environment, applying working knowledge to support development tasks.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in Python programming.
  • Strong proficiency in Python with a track record of writing clean, efficient, and testable code.
  • Familiarity with Python frameworks like Django, Flask, or Pyramid.
  • Experience with distributed storage systems such as DB2, Sybase/Sybase IQ, and MongoDB.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, particularly using Git.
  • Solid understanding and experience with Unix/Linux operating systems.

    • Description of Experience: 5+ years of experience in Python development, including Core Java and the Spring Framework. Worked on various projects involving REST and SOAP web services, Hibernate, JPA, and microservices architecture. Extensive experience developing high-performance web and mobile applications, integrating Java applications with external services, and utilizing Java object-oriented programming features for scalable and maintainable code.

SQL:

    • Description of Experience: Extensive experience in both SQL and NoSQL databases, working with relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle. Familiar with non-relational databases like MongoDB. Developed and optimized PL/SQL queries and functions, created and managed databases, and ensured data integrity. Also integrated SQL databases with Java applications using Hibernate ORM, utilized MySQL Workbench for database tasks, and worked on cloud-based databases like AWS RDS and DynamoDB for NoSQL solutions.
