Position: FSQA Manager

Location: Los Angeles, CA


Our client, are growing Food Manufacturer, are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Manager to ensure our company complies with food quality and safety standards as per FDA Food Code.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

-Conduct internal quality audits and compile comprehensive reports.
-Oversee customer and regulatory audits, including government, third-party, and SQF Program audits, and manage compliance updates.
-Collaborate with the Operations Manager to ensure HACCP/GMP and food safety requirements are met.
-Work with line supervisors to identify and monitor quality benchmarks.
-Ensure timely implementation of safety and quality measures in accordance with regulations.
-Lead and monitor food quality and departmental improvement projects.
-Execute corrective action plans as needed.
-Serve as the primary liaison to federal, state, and local regulatory agencies.
-Stay updated on and adapt to changes in customer, company, and regulatory requirements.
-Identify potential risks and focus on root cause analysis and preventive actions.
-Inspect products, processes, and metrics to identify opportunities for quality improvement.
-Supervise quality technicians and perform technical duties related to product quality as needed.
-Coach, train, and manage the quality team, implementing new regulatory requirements.
Education/Experience Required:4-5 years of food production experience or a college degree with at least 3 years of relevant industry experience.

 


Certifications: HACCP, PCQI, SQF.3 years of experience managing a team of 3 or more.
-Knowledge of HACCP & GMP guidelines.
-Ability to manage multiple production teams under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
-Proven leadership experience in a team setting.
-Proficiency in MS Office, Email, MS Access Database, Power BI Platform, and SAGE 300 ERP (or equivalent).Effective oral and written communication skills, along with strong math and reading comprehension.
-Excellent critical and analytical skills.
-Bilingual skills (English, Chinese, Spanish) are a plus.
-Willingness to work holidays and weekends if necessary.
