SAP FICO consultant

Overview

As an integral part of our team, the SAP FICO Consultant plays a crucial role in implementing and supporting SAP Financial Accounting and Controlling (FICO) modules within our organization. This role is essential for ensuring that our financial systems are effectively aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements, providing accurate and timely financial information for decision-making and compliance.

Key responsibilities

Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand and document their requirements for financial accounting and management reporting
Design, configure, and implement SAP FICO solutions to meet business needs, ensuring alignment with best practices and industry standards
Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and maintenance for SAP FICO modules, addressing user issues and system enhancements
Conduct system testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing to ensure the quality and reliability of SAP FICO solutions
Participate in the full lifecycle of SAP FICO projects, from initial scoping and planning to post-implementation support
Train end users and provide documentation to support knowledge transfer and efficient utilization of SAP FICO functionality
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate SAP FICO with other systems and modules, ensuring seamless data flow and consistency
Stay informed about SAP FICO updates, new features, and industry trends, providing recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation
Contribute to the development and adherence of SAP FICO governance, compliance, and security standards
Support and contribute to the optimization of financial processes through SAP FICO enhancements and innovations
Participate in the resolution of incidents, problems, and change management related to SAP FICO
Assist in the creation and maintenance of system documentation, including process flows, technical specifications, and user manuals
Collaborate with external vendors, partners, and consultants to leverage expert knowledge and resources for SAP FICO initiatives
Participate in financial system audits, ensuring adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements
Effectively communicate and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization to ensure SAP FICO alignment with business goals and objectives

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field
Minimum of X years of hands-on experience in implementing and supporting SAP FICO modules
SAP certification in Financial Accounting (FI) and Controlling (CO) is highly preferred
Expertise in configuring SAP FICO modules to support complex business processes and reporting requirements
Proven ability to lead and participate in SAP FICO implementation projects, from requirements gathering to post-implementation support
In-depth knowledge of financial accounting principles, management reporting, and financial analysis
Experience in integrating SAP FICO with other SAP modules such as MM, SD, and PP
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels
Knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and familiarity with emerging technologies in finance and analytics
