Senior Engineer - DevOps and AWS

Essential Skills & Responsibilities:

·       Create, configure, update, and maintain product and AWS services and virtualized systems

        including connectivity to 3rd party systems within customer environment and customer hosted

        and on-prem environment.

·       Design and implement secure network and connectivity solutions that meet business and

        customer requirements.

·       Implement, maintain, test, and update automation using scripting languages to manage services.

·       Implement, maintain, test, and update tools for deployment, monitor, and troubleshoot system

        resources, uptime, service availability, data access, data export/import, logs, etc.

·       Performance tune and triage, fix, and remediate customer environment, application and

        databases as needed.

·       Good knowledge in database migration ( MS SQL and MySQL )

·       Create, maintain, and update blueprints per customer using templates such as CloudFormation or

        others.

·       Perform infrastructure upgrades and updates to maximize system, access, and data stores

        performance and efficiency while minimizing downtime.

·       Remediate vulnerabilities.

·       Perform rolling and broad upgrades and patches to applications and services.

·       Implement, maintain, test, and update operation runbooks.

·       Setting and bringing up staging environment, including testing.

Relevant Experience:

·       Hands-on Experience is Linux O/s.

·       Expertise in provisioning and maintenance of cloud application workloads in AWS Cloud

·       Good hands on experience and understanding on Docker and EKS

·       Good knowledge on networking and Kafka

·       Hands on experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Ansible, Go etc.

·       Good understanding of API’s

·       Working experience in setting up CI/CD Pipeline in Jenkins, and GitLab.

·       Hands on experience with Linux OS, web servers, access brokers, SQL and NoSQL DB and data

        Stores.

·       Hand-on experience configuring and connecting applications to 3rd party application scanners

        such as Veracode, Checkmarx, Fortify, Snyk, Burp Suite Pro.

·       Troubleshoot application, configurations, and 3rd party integration issues.

·       Triage incidents with customers engineering teams and escalate as necessary to internal teams or

        engage 3rd party support.

·       Able to effectively work in a group, or as an independent individual contributor.

·       Experience working in an Agile development environment is an added advantage.

·       Excellent collaboration skills and ability to work in a global team.
