Description

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with Staff Network Engineers on design and initiatives
  • Maintain current network solution within workplace, factories, and logistics warehouses
  • Function as a Tier-2/3 escalation point
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineers on requirements gathering, analyze, and propose solution to networking needs
  • Provision, implement, test/validation, and maintain networking services per solution design
  • Discipline on following change request process
  • Monitor, analyze, and report metrics of network services
  • Document network knowledgebase and operational "Run-Book”
  • Must be able to work occasional weekends, after hours, and holidays
  • Participate in on call rotation
  • 2% travel required as necessary


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 6+ years' experience mid-large global enterprise networking infrastructure
  • Extensive experience in IP networking, L2/L3 network protocols (spanning-tree, OSPF, BGP), LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing, QOS, VLAN, ACL, application flow, NAC, and infrastructure cabling.
  • Extensive experience with multi-vendor firewall technologies including Fortinet, Palo Alto Networks, and Juniper SRX
  • Extensive experience with multi-vendor switching technologies including Juniper EX and QFX and Cisco Industrial Ethernet
  • Extensive experience with low voltage CAT6, Fiber, & IT Room layout and environmental
  • Experience with troubleshooting with circuit carriers
  • Experience with various tools such as Protocol Analyzer, SNMP, IPAM, RADIUS, Netbrain, and Splunk
  • Experience with developing scripts to automate infrastructure deployment and collect metrics
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Solid analytical skills to troubleshoot high level, complex technical problems
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication
