Sr. Oracle Database Administrator

Profile & Description:
Monitors the day-to-day activities of production and non-production database systems to ensure smooth operation of all environments. This includes space hashtag#administration within the hashtag#database and at the operating system level to ensure the hashtag#databasesystems perform properly and without disruption. Additionally support hashtag#performancetuning, hashtag#backup and hashtag#recovery, hashtag#patching, database refreshes and other tasks as needed.
The candidate must have strong hashtag#OracleDBA and hashtag#SQL skills including experience with hashtag#RMAN, hashtag#ActiveDataGuard, hashtag#GoldenGate, hashtag#GDS, hashtag#OEM on a hashtag#19c or above platform. They will possess strong troubleshooting skills and are willing to support the platform as a part of a 24x7 on-call rotation. The ideal candidate will also have experience supporting hashtag#Postgres hashtag#on-prem and in the cloud.

Required:
• 5+ years of hashtag#OracleDBA experience supporting hashtag#databases > hashtag#20TB
• Proficiency with hashtag#scripting languages such as hashtag#BASH, hashtag#KSH, hashtag#PowerShell or hashtag#Python
• Highly proficient in hashtag#ActiveDataGuard, hashtag#RMAN, hashtag#RAC, hashtag#GDS
• Experience supporting both hashtag#OLTP and hashtag#DataWarehouse environments
• Experience with hashtag#EDB hashtag#PostgresAdvancedServer
• Ability to work autonomously and with multiple teams when necessary to triage database system issues.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to solicit and formalize requirements and work with end users/customers
• Ability to work in a semi-structured environment where requirements and priorities are dynamic

Highly Desirable:
• Experience with agile development methodology
• Experience with backup and recovery tools such as hashtag#DataDomain or hashtag#Rubrik
• Experience with hashtag#MongoDB hashtag#Atlas
• Experience in the hashtag#insurance industry, specifically with the hashtag#healthcare industry
• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or a related field or comparable work experience
