Overview
The Teamcenter with AWC Developer plays a crucial role in leveraging their expertise to develop, customize, and maintain Teamcenter applications, particularly around Active Workspace Client (AWC). They play an integral part in enhancing and optimizing the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system and its integration with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and customize Teamcenter applications, with a focus on AWC implementation and optimization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions within Teamcenter.
Utilize programming languages such as Java and C++ to build and modify Teamcenter functionalities.
Design, develop, and implement integrations between Teamcenter and CAD tools.
Ensure the scalability, performance, and reliability of Teamcenter applications by conducting thorough testing and troubleshooting.
Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
Provide technical support and resolve issues related to Teamcenter and AWC for end-users.
Conduct regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure the security and efficiency of the Teamcenter system.
Create and maintain technical documentation for developed applications and customizations.
Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to evaluate and implement new features and enhancements.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in PLM and AWC development.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
6-8 yrs experience in developing and customizing applications within the Teamcenter environment.
Strong knowledge of Active Workspace Client (AWC) and its implementation in Teamcenter.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, and scripting languages.
Experience with CAD tools and their integration with PLM systems.
Ability to understand and analyze complex business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Familiarity with software development methodologies and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Experience in conducting testing, performance optimization, and maintenance of applications.
Knowledge of version control systems and configuration management tools.
Ability to prioritize tasks, manage timelines, and deliver high-quality solutions under pressure.
Understanding of security principles and best practices in application development.
Relevant certifications in PLM or AWC development are a plus.
