Job Overview
The Business Intelligence Engineer shall apply specialized knowledge of modern analytics stack including Microsoft Azure Stack, Python, R, Excel, PowerBI, Databricks, and Snowflake to conceptualize, design, develop, unit-test, configure, and implement business intelligence and data insight solutions. The person will interact with internal and external customers, be responsible for generating documentation as needed; conform to security and quality standards; and stay current on emerging trends.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree. A master’s degree in analytics, data science or a related field a plus.
· 5+ years of proven experience in data architecture, preferably related to U.S. healthcare, using core data analysis tools and languages such as SQL, Python, R, and Excel.
· 5+ years of experience with Big Data technologies including Databricks, Pyspark, Python, and varying types of Azure Storage.
· 5+ years of Microsoft Power BI, Tableau or similar experience.
· 5+ years of performing data engineering/ETL operations, preferably with Azure Data Factory.
· 7+ years of data warehouse experience, preferably with the Snowflake data platform.
· 7+ years of experience in SQL and be able to write complex logic using SQL as part of ETL, and use SQL effectively to perform complex data analysis and discovery.
· Demonstrate strong organization skills and detail-oriented.
· Experience with CMD shell and Power Shell
· Experience with large-scale, complex data environments.
· Ability to self-motivate and meet dead lines.
· Intense desire to learn.
· Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
· Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, changing environment.
· Ability to maintain confidentiality.
