Description

Responsibilities will include:

  • Provide high-level budgetary support which  includes managing accounting, budget, and reporting systems across all fund types, each with different uses and restrictions. Fund types include state appropriations, facility and administration, expendable trusts, and endowed trusts
  • Prepare quarterly budget versus actual reports including projections through end of fiscal year
  • Ensures expenditures on the trust funds comply with the purpose of the gift agreement

Top skills you need to have:

  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and ability to analyze large data sets
  • Bachelor’s degree with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or Associate’s degree in accounting; or Associate’s degree in business or related discipline with 12 credit hours of accounting coursework; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
  • Experience with computerized financial reporting systems
  • Excellent interpersonal communication leadership skills
  • Knowledge of state accounting practices, rules and regulations as related to all funds sources preferred
  • Modeling of budgets and projections preferred
  • MBA or CPA preferred
