Ansible Automation DevOps Engineer role overview
T Rowe Price is looking for an Ansible Automation DevOps Engineer to join the Infrastructure Engineering team.
This individual will play an active role collaborating with stakeholders by gathering IT Infrastructure requirements, designing, prototyping, demonstrating, and implementing automated workflows utilizing Ansible open-source development processes, tools and internal and external automation resources.

Role profile

Independent and self-motivated contributor collaborating closely with technical members within our department and across other departments using Agile methodology.
Promote, design, prototype, demo, implement and support Infrastructure Automation projects utilizing Ansible, AWX, Event-Driven Ansible, GitLab and SDLC processes to promote automation development for the organization.
Participate in cross-functional projects as Ansible and AWX subject matter expert.
Conceptualize, present, prototype, and develop automation solutions.
Employ Ansible and DevOps principles and tools to automate processes and workflows.
Document designs, policies and procedures based on industry best practices.
Develop runbooks for users to execute Ansible automation playbooks.
Collaborate with stakeholders to train and hand-over automation playbooks.
Provide support to users and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve errors.

Must-haves

Understanding and demonstrated success with Ansible automation development:
Ansible playbook/role development
Development experience (SDLC, Git, etc.)

Nice to haves

Education: 4-year bachelor of science (BSc) degree in Engineering or Computer Science
Understanding and demonstrated success with related technologies:
Event-Driven Ansible
AWX open-source application
Development/scripting experience (Python)
Kubernetes
AWS EC2, EKS and RDS cloud services
Networking with Cisco
Virtualization with VMware
Windows administration
Red Hat Linux OS administration
