Apigee API Engineer

Responsibilities:

Work with various functional teams to gather and understand their API requirements.
Develop, and implement API proxies using Apigee Edge and other related technologies.
The migration of APIs to the Apigee platform, ensuring the continuity of business operations.
The CI/CD of API proxies and configurations, aligning with best practices for testing and deployment.
All aspects of the Apigee platform, including runtime, analytics, and developer portal.
Improve our API designs and practices for better performance, scalability, and maintainability.
With other team members to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality solutions.
Maintain technical documentation related to the Apigee platform and its associated APIs.

Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Experience as an API Engineer, specifically with Apigee Edge.
Experience with migrating APIs to Apigee.
Experience with CI/CD tools and practices.
Understanding of API design and development, including RESTful services.
Experience in JavaScript, Node.js, and other relevant languages and frameworks.
Understanding of network protocols, web services, and data formats (HTTP, XML, JSON).
Understanding with version control systems like Git.
Problem-solving skills, with an ability to troubleshoot and debug issues.
Written and verbal communication skills.
Team player, able to work well with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Preferred:

Certification is a plus.
Experience with cloud platforms especially Google Cloud is needed.
Understanding of security concepts, including OAuth, JWT, API Keys, and TLS.
