Apigee API Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Champion APIGEE migration projects, collaborating closely with functional teams to comprehensively understand and gather API requirements.
Utilize advanced expertise to design, develop, and implement API proxies using Apigee Edge and related technologies.
Oversee the end-to-end migration of APIs to the Apigee platform, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Lead and optimize CI/CD processes specifically tailored for APIGEE migration, adhering to testing and deployment best practices.
Manage all facets of the Apigee platform, including runtime, analytics, and the developer portal, with a focus on APIGEE migration initiatives.
Continuously enhance API designs and practices for optimal performance, scalability, and maintainability within the context of APIGEE migration.
Collaborate closely with team members to address complex problems and deliver high-quality solutions, with an emphasis on APIGEE migration expertise.
Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation related to the Apigee platform and its associated APIs, with a specific focus on APIGEE migration projects.
Be ready to work on-site from our Mexico office.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience as an API Engineer, showcasing mastery in APIGEE migration projects.
Hands-on experience in migrating APIs to Apigee, demonstrating proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices.
Strong understanding of API design and development, specifically RESTful services, within the context of APIGEE migration.
Proficiency in JavaScript, Node.js, and other relevant languages and frameworks.
In-depth knowledge of network protocols, web services, and data formats (HTTP, XML, JSON).
Experience with version control systems such as Git.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug issues.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
A collaborative team player capable of working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.

Preferred:

Apigee certification is advantageous.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud.
Knowledge of security concepts, including OAuth, JWT, API Keys, and TLS.

Additional Note:

This position requires on-site presence in our Mexico office.
There is a potential opportunity for the selected candidate to become a permanent resident of Mexico in the future.
