Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to understand technical constraints, and develop, communicate, and track against realistic plans to ship bug fixes and improve engineering fundamentals (availability, accessibility, and security) in well-loved parts of GitHub.
• Coordinate with engineering leadership, customer support, and other teams to define and prioritize projects that help us meet business objectives.
• Ensure compliance with GitHub software development best practices and industry standards.

Required qualifications.

• 6+ years’ experience writing production grade Rails, especially along with React.
• Experience designing, building, scaling and maintaining distributed systems.
• Experience in testing, production system monitoring, and observability.

Preferred qualifications

• Strong customer focus and data driven approach.
• Track record of strong analytical skills as well as communication skills both verbal and written
• Passionate about fostering good engineering practices and processes.
• Experience effectively contributing to technical strategy and roadmaps.
• Candidates should have excellent debugging and communication skills.
