Applications Solutions Engineer

Job Duties:

• Ensure efficient systems design, maintenance and upgrades, as well as successful configuration of new hosting applications.

• Facilitate the smooth functioning of a variety of Enterprise applications and systems, including Active Directory, GPO, IIS/Apache, and PKI.

• Conduct regular daily support of web-hosting operations (IIS/Apache), and contribute to projects aimed at enhancing DDC's back-end infrastructure.

• Actively participate in transitioning on-premise operations to Azure.

• Oversee and rectify any issues identified during Nessus security scans of infrastructure systems.

• Adhere to recommended security, management, and maintenance practices to ensure maximum systems and applications uptime.

• Ensure the high availability, usability, and security of servers and applications through regular monitoring and maintenance.

• Provide server administration support, along with operation and maintenance of various Microsoft Windows and Linux RHEL.

• Use ticketing queues effectively to promptly resolve server and application issues, document resolutions, and escalate relevant tickets.

• Collaborate closely with other teams for problem solving and developing solutions.

• Join the on-call rotation to guarantee the uptime of critical servers, networks, and applications.

• Develop and keep up-to-date standard operating procedures and other technical records for operational tasks.

• Successfully manage complex issues.

• Assess and recommend enhancements to optimize the IT system infrastructure.
