Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated Area Sales Manager with extensive experience in the FMCG sector to manage and drive sales within the assigned region. The candidate will oversee the sales team, implement strategies to meet sales targets, and ensure market expansion. Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets within the assigned area.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and market penetration strategies.
- Create territory sales plans based on business goals, customer needs, and competitive analysis.
- Team Management:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales executives to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to the sales team, ensuring their professional growth and performance.
- Business Development:
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities by developing relationships with key stakeholders, distributors, and retailers in the FMCG sector.
- Work closely with the marketing team to support product launches and promotional activities.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Maintain and nurture strong relationships with key clients and channel partners to ensure sustained business growth.
- Handle customer grievances and feedback, ensuring timely resolution and improved customer satisfaction.
- Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor sales performance and provide regular reports to senior management on sales trends, achievements, and challenges.
- Use KPIs and metrics to assess individual and team performance and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Budget Management:
- Manage sales budgets and ensure all expenses are in line with company policies and targets.
- Oversee daily operations related to logistics, distribution, and sales promotions.
Qualifications:
- Educational Background:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. - Experience:
A minimum of 3 years of experience in a sales management role within the FMCG industry is required. Proven success in managing a sales team and achieving sales goals. - Skills:
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and trends to make informed decisions.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
