The Role:
As an Azure Cloud Architect for Data Center Migration Projects, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions that support the migration of mission-critical applications, workloads, and data from legacy data center environments to cloud platforms. Leveraging your expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure design, and migration strategies, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute migration plans that meet client requirements and business objectives .
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of cloud architectures that align with client requirements, industry best practices, and cloud provider capabilities (Azure).
- Define architectural patterns, standards, and guidelines for cloud migration projects from On-Prem, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of cloud-based solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess existing infrastructure environments, identify migration requirements, and develop comprehensive migration strategies and plans.
- Define cloud migration approaches, methodologies, and tools, considering factors such as workload dependencies, data gravity, and regulatory compliance (HIPAA).
- Configure and provision cloud resources, including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security services, to support migration activities and post-migration operations.
- Implement automation and orchestration solutions to streamline provisioning, deployment, and management of cloud infrastructure components.
- Design and implement security controls, policies, and procedures to protect cloud-based assets and data, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Optimize cloud infrastructure performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness through resource right-sizing, load balancing, and auto-scaling configurations.
- Document cloud architecture designs, migration plans, implementation procedures, and operational best practices, ensuring knowledge transfer and continuity of operations.
