Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced AKS/Azure Kubernetes Specialist to join our team as a valuable resource in delivering exceptional cloud-based solutions for our clients. As an AKS/Azure Kubernetes Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining Kubernetes-based solutions on Microsoft Azure, specifically Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). You will work closely with clients to understand their requirements, architect scalable solutions, and ensure the successful deployment and management of AKS clusters, including self-hosted gateways and event grids integrated with other AIS (Azure Integration Services) components.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business needs and requirements related to AKS, Kubernetes, and AIS (Azure Integration Services).
  • Design and architect AKS solutions, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security, with a specific focus on implementing self-hosted gateways and event grids integrated with other AIS components.
  • Build and deploy AKS clusters, including container orchestration, networking, storage, and monitoring, taking into consideration AIS requirements.
  • Implement best practices for AKS cluster management, including upgrades, patching, and troubleshooting, in the context of AIS integration.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) templates using tools like Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates or Terraform, with a focus on AIS components.
  • Automate deployment, scaling, and management processes using scripting languages and tools like PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Kubernetes API, specifically targeting AIS functionalities.
  • Monitor AKS clusters, analyze performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize resource utilization, including AIS components.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements, with a specific focus on AIS integration.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate AKS solutions and AIS components into existing systems and processes.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior team members and assist in their professional development.
  • Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in AKS, Kubernetes, AIS, and other relevant cloud technologies.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven experience (8+ years) working with AKS, Kubernetes, and Azure Integration Services (AIS) in an enterprise environment.
  • Strong expertise in designing and implementing AKS solutions, including cluster architecture, networking, storage, security, self-hosted gateways, and event grids integrated with AIS components.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Azure CLI, or Bash.
  • Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like ARM templates or Terraform, with a focus on AIS integration.
  • Deep understanding of containerization concepts and technologies (Docker, container orchestration, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Azure services and ecosystem, including Azure DevOps, Azure Monitor, Azure Networking, Azure Integration Services, etc.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and source code management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Administrator, Kubernetes Certified Administrator) are a plus.
