Azure Storage Cloud

Overview

The Storage Cloud role is integral to our organization, responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our cloud storage infrastructure. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring data availability, scalability, and security in our organization's cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

Designing and implementing cloud storage solutions to meet the organization's data storage and management needs.
Managing and maintaining data storage systems in the cloud environment.
Ensuring the security and integrity of data stored in the cloud, including access control, encryption, and compliance with data protection regulations.
Optimizing cloud storage systems for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate cloud storage solutions with other technologies and applications.
Monitoring and troubleshooting cloud storage infrastructure to identify and resolve performance or reliability issues.
Developing and implementing backup, disaster recovery, and data retention strategies for cloud-based storage solutions.
Conducting regular performance and capacity assessments to anticipate and address future storage requirements.
Participating in the evaluation and selection of cloud storage platforms, services, and tools.
Documenting storage infrastructure designs, configurations, and procedures.
Participating in on-call rotations to respond to storage-related incidents and emergencies.
Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices related to cloud storage and data management.
Providing support and guidance to other teams on cloud storage-related matters.
Collaborating with vendors and service providers to implement and support cloud storage solutions.

Required Qualifications

A minimum of 5 years is mandatory
mandatory to have Azure Storage, Cloud Storage, purely in Azure.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing cloud storage solutions.
Demonstrated proficiency in cloud storage platforms such as Amazon S3, Azure Blob Storage, or Google Cloud Storage.
Strong understanding of data security principles and best practices, including encryption, access control, and compliance.
Experience with storage networking, protocols, and technologies, such as NAS, SAN, iSCSI, and Fibre Channel.
Proficiency in storage performance monitoring and optimization techniques.
Experience with backup, disaster recovery, and data retention strategies in cloud environments.
Knowledge of cloud storage cost management and optimization techniques.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving storage-related issues.
Excellent documentation and communication skills.
Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect, are a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
Knowledge of containers and container storage solutions is a plus.
Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud storage architectures is a plus.
Strong commitment to staying updated with the latest developments in cloud storage technologies and best practices.
