The manufacturing operations business analyst provides data analytics and reporting to manufacturing operations on new product introduction, production, overhaul, and repair programs.
Responsibilities
Provides business analytics and reporting to functional areas or projects/programs.
Perform quantitative analyses and reports that provide operational and/or technical support for customer proposals.
Identifies and develops metrics by working with users and stakeholders to understand data visualization and reporting requirements.
Translates business results into meaningful metrics and recommendations aimed at improving performance.
Analyzes manufacturing processes and problems to formulate and develop recommendations to meet customer and/or internal project requirements.
Works under moderate supervision to set objectives for own job area.
Communicates with contacts inside and outside own team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
Identifies and addresses changes within own job area.
Works to achieve operational targets with some impact on departmental results.
Qualifications
Bachelor in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics or combination of education and experience within manufacturing operations and/or continuous improvement activities, particularly of high mix - low volume production.
Experience with data analysis, and SQL queries.
Must have 3-5 years of Experience in PowerBI, MS Excel.
In-depth competency with data visualization and analytics tools (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, SharePoint, Power Apps, PowerBI / Tableau) is preferred.
