Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and analytical Business Analyst to join our team and play a key role in the application rationalization efforts across our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for strategically identifying business applications, assessing their effectiveness, and providing insights to determine whether they should be retained, replaced, retired, or consolidated. This role requires a deep understanding of business processes, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across different departments.
Key Responsibilities:
Application Assessment:
Conduct thorough assessments of existing business applications to evaluate their alignment with organizational goals and strategic objectives.
Analyze the efficiency, functionality, and overall performance of applications to identify areas for improvement or optimization.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Collaborate with business units, IT teams, and key stakeholders to gather requirements and understand the business needs that drive application usage.
Facilitate workshops and meetings to elicit feedback, document user stories, and ensure a comprehensive understanding of application requirements.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Utilize data analysis techniques to extract meaningful insights regarding application usage, performance, and business impact.
Prepare and present clear, concise reports to stakeholders, highlighting recommendations for application retention, replacement, retirement, or consolidation.
Strategic Decision Support:
Provide valuable insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making related to application rationalization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategies for optimizing the application portfolio.
Documentation and Communication:
Document findings, recommendations, and decisions related to application rationalization in a clear and organized manner.
Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring understanding and buy-in for proposed changes.
