SUMMARY =====
The "Business Development" Manager is responsible for prospecting new clients by networking, cold calling, advertising or other means of generating interest from potential clients. The Manager will focus on developing a rapport with new clients and set targets for sales and provide support that will continually improve the relationship. Also required to grow and retain existing accounts by presenting new solutions and services to clients, while developing the pipeline of new business coming into the company.
===== ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES =====
Develop a thorough knowledge of the market, our competitors and the solutions and services that KSP provides
Develop partnership relationships with new/potential clients executive level personnel in the areas of Accounting, Finance, Internal Audit and IT
Formulating and executing best practices in generating leads, tracking opportunities and leveraging BDM services
Managing Account Timeline, Budget And Other Critical Administration Responsibilities
Cold call as appropriate within market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities
Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging your network
Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization
Research and build relationships with new clients
Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately
Assist the practice leaders in the creation of proposals for engagements
Work with consulting staff and other internal colleagues to meet customer needs
Arrange and participate in internal and external client debriefs
Attend industry functions, such as association events and conferences, and provide feedback and information on market and creative trends
Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales
Using knowledge of the market and competitors, identify and develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators
Submit weekly progress reports and ensure data is accurate
Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the CRM
Track and record activity on accounts and help to close deals to meet these targets
===== QUALIFICATION =====
Recommended to be a Bachelor of Science
At least 5 years of business development experience in the client services arena
Strong networking and persuasion skills
Experience prospecting new clients
Ability to research client's needs and identify client challenges
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proven closing skills and motivation for sales
Strong knowledge of the Philadelphia Market
