Business Intelligence Developer/Tableau

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Standardize use of Tableau across the enterprise and accelerate transition of current reporting (e.g. excel and power point) to automated, online Tableau dashboard
Tableau performance management: work with internal tech support team to guarantee operability of tableau and ideal user experience incl. technical setup, testing, tuning, benchmarking, stability, speed & responsiveness.
Work with business teams to identify reporting needs not already in Tableau and assist in migration to automated reports using Tableau.
Support vision of centralized Tableau reporting hub for entire enterprise by department including landing page, roles & rights, user & performance tracking.
Help create meaningful and impactful visualizations inspiring teams across the organization including templates, POCs, and some centralized dashboards.
Support onboarding of users to Tableau by providing assistance in ad-hoc questions, training, sharing of best practice, teaching and mentoring.
Stay informed of latest Tableau feature development and roadmap (what is new, when will it be released, what is the benefit) and other best in market solutions, timely devise version upgrade strategy for internal IT team.
Be the tableau advocate for Audi of America. Support local Tableau User Group (TUG) for northern Virginia by leading, participating, demonstrating and internalizing trends and benefits.
Formalize & support internal tableau user group and translate external learnings & findings into internal benefits.
Qualifications:
B.S. in Computer Science, Business Analytics, or related.
Experience and knowledge/certification in following technologies: development, maintenance and management of Tableau dashboards and analytics, Tableau administration and architecture, Tableau performance optimization & tuning
Extensive Tableau skills incl. visualization, sharing, communicating, and training users.
Full product knowledge of Tableau suite (how to use and adopt, how to integrate, optimize and tune): Tableau desktop, Tableau server, Tableau prep, connecting sources such as SQL, Hadoop, traditional structured warehouse technology (e.g. oracle), data prep including cleansing, standardization and mapping.
Experience with Informatica AXON & Enterprise data catalogue (desired)
