Team: The team sets the vision, priority setting and business requirements of Research platforms
and research-focused smart technology applications. The team will be an advocate for digital transformation and diffuses smart technology applications, through all stages of research processes that are in use by the research team to reduce costs, improve quality, speed and agility of the research process.
Role: The Change Manager will be part of the Smart Technology pillar of the Digital Transformation Team within the ESG Research division. The candidate will act as a liaison between multiple research teams and digital innovation team (IT team). The candidate identifies opportunities to apply smart technologies such as information extraction, machine learning, natural language generation to make the research process more effective. The candidate has a strong understanding of latest trends in applying artificial intelligence and machine learning.
Responsibilities:
- Contributes to setting the vision for smart technologies across research teams together with other digital transformation managers of the Research Team
- Acts as a liaison between Digital Product Managers/Owners, the Digital Innovation Team and Research Teams on roadmap planning, scope management and sprint planning
- Contributes to delivering the Research Team’s digital transformation agenda through the design, enhancement or redesign of NLP/ information retrieval and extraction applications
- Contributes towards monitoring the health of NLP/ information retrieval and extraction applications and assesses the ongoing business benefits
- Collects and prioritizes items for IT partners, specifying business requirements (together with business analysts). Prepares decision taking processes in cases there are several courses of action possible
- Communicates digital vision and progress on the smart technology roadmap to senior leaders in the Sustainalytics ESG research division
- Responsible for release management of information retrieval and extraction applications. Candidate plans, coordinates, manages and schedules releases in close collaboration with IT partners
- Supports research teams with assessing the impacts of new digital solutions, conducting user acceptance test and successfully integrating these in research processes
- Acts as smart technology ambassador and coordinates change management initiatives
- Resolves any issues and instigates corrective issues as appropriate (issue management)
- Manages and mentor’s business analyst(s) as appropriate
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree
- 8+ years’ experience on smart technologies (artificial intelligence OR information retrieval OR data-intensive digital curation), with proven track record of either business analysis or release management
- 2+ years’ experience in people management is a plus
- Proficiency in Python programming, with experience in SQL, R, and VBA a plus
- Experience with machine learning-based techniques and solutions, such as regression-based prediction, object classification and clustering
- Experience with project/process planning tools (Jira, Jira Align) with strong project management skills, sets clear priorities and is result oriented
- Demonstrated passion for sustainability
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to engage/connect and build effective relations at different levels, while managing competing interests
