  • Work with business stakeholders to understand the business requirements for virtual desktop solutions. Translate business requirements into functional requirements and design, technical solution to satisfy the functional and business requirements.
  • Evaluate, test, develop, implement, configure and maintain complex technical solutions using the Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop environments to address a variety of business problems in a complex enterprise IT environment.
  • Develop and maintain written procedures, engineering drawings, and other technical documentation.
  • Coordinate and direct preventative maintenance of major systems components, including routine patching and Software updates of the Citrix environments.
  • Participate and lead the installation and/or changes to the Citrix virtualization environment in accordance with Blue Shield change management practices.
  • Develop and implement test plans to test changes to the Citrix environment prior to introduction into production.
  • Monitor and tune Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop environment to achieve optimal performance and availability. Conduct health checks of Citrix environments as required.
  • Provide L2/L3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues impacting Citrix infrastructure & operations. Resolve Citrix related Incidents and Service Requests.
  • Analyze infrastructure systems performance, collect information, and prepare summary reports.
