Job Summary
P&W Compression System Module Center (CSMC) Quality is looking for a CMM Programmer to provide Inspection Solutions for the Mod Center. CSMC manufactures Compressor and Turbine major rotating, critical to quality, prime reliable Drums and Disks as well as Fan Cases and Hubs for multiple commercial and military engine programs. CSMC is the Center of Excellence for the manufacturing and inspection of Integrated Blade Rotors (IBR) for the F119, F135 and Next Generation Product Family (NGPF). This position will report to the CSMC CMM Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Help the CMM Programming technical team in ensuring product and process compliance by providing CMM Inspection solutions per our quality systems and requirements.
- Execute CMM related requests for CSMC. Foster and maintain a cooperative relationship with Module Center departments in including other Quality and Manufacturing personnel.
- Support day to day Module Center deliverables and initiatives related to CMM inspection. Drive product and process improvements that ensure Module Center’s quality metric goals are met.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement through the use of CORE tools (Standard Work, DIVE, mistake proofing, etc).
- Lead the implementation of new inspection technologies that achieve process, reliability and productivity improvements.
- Attract, develop and mentor diverse talent in the quality technical discipline.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years CMM programming experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
- Technical Knowledge of CMM Programming software (such as PC-DMIS, Camio, MODUS, or QUINDOS)
- Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
- The ability to work On-Site for Implementation/troubleshooting of programs on CMM Machines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Quality, Manufacturing and/or Engineering with a minimum of 3 years in the aerospace industry
- An understanding of P&W Quality Procedures, Quality Management Systems, AS9100
- Product knowledge of major rotating critical to quality hardware
- Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of management
- Knowledge and experience in data analysis and problem solving using Six Sigma, Red X and process control tools
- Experience in using ACE/CORE tools to make process improvements in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to lead projects, develop and mentor other leaders
