Cyber Security Engineer

Role Description

We are seeking a Cyber Security Engineer for a contract role. The Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for performing vulnerability assessments, application security assessments, network security assessments, information security assessments, and ensuring that our clients' systems meet the desired security standards. It is a hybrid role located in the Springfield, Illinois Metropolitan Area - some remote work is acceptable.

Qualifications

• Application Security, Cybersecurity, and Network Security skills
• Experience in Information Security and Vulnerability Assessment
• Ability to perform manual and automated security testing
• Understanding of threat modeling and risk assessment
• Experience with security tools such as Nmap, Nikto, Burp Suite, and Metasploit
• One or more professional security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
