Data Analyst and BI Developer

Responsibilities:

• To analyze functional and business requirements for either new or existing ETL applications which can be designed in Netezza, Teradata, Oracle or any other data warehouse appliance.
• To provide estimations for development and QA tasks based on the complexity of the requirement considering all technical, functional and business aspects.
• Planning, building and managing successful large-scale Data Warehouse and decision support systems such as Data Mapping, Data management, Data transportation and Data Staging.
• Resolving on-going performance issues and bug fixes in shell scripts that would evade data loss in projects handling terabytes of data and also help in avoiding data corruption.
• Performance Tuning, Performance-Oriented design, Development, Data Modeling, Physical Design, Logical Design, Trouble-shooting and coding for optimized functioning.
• To work on UNIX Shell Scripting. Developing shell scripts to load Oracle, Netezza, Teradata databases and wrapper scripts.
• Automation of scripts or workflows using Tidal scheduler, Control-M, One Automation scheduler.
• Designing automated frameworks to avoid manual intervention of processes which run on daily/monthly basis while there is a failure.
• To involve in Dimensional modeling (Star Schema) of the Data warehouse and use Erwin to design the business process, dimensions and measured facts.
• Extraction of data from Oracle, flat files, Teradata and other RDBMS databases into staging area and populating into Data warehouses.
