Data Architect

Duties:

Long-term project with possibility of conversion!
NON-local candidates ok! Will accept remote workers.
Extensive data architect knowledge - must know data warehousing. 
Star Schema knowledge heavily desired. 
Microsoft Azure experience required. 
3-7 years of heavy data warehouse experience required!
Anticipate and meet strategic and tactical data requirements, designing and developing effective data architectures, in the Enterprise Data Warehouse. Documenting data and metadata comprehensively in a manner consistent with industry and departmental practices, and integrate data to promote consistency, transparency, clarity, and accuracy.
Design data models and structures that directly support the Universitys reporting and analytic needs.
Supervise all steps in the development and delivery of these models and structures.
Identify and pursue opportunities to acquire, store and deliver data more efficiently and effectively in the Enterprise Data Warehouse
Advise upcoming and ongoing projects on data warehouse activities.
Research and investigate new and improved data sources to respond to customer needs.
Follow and suggest improvements for established Data Management standards, practices, and procedures.
Provide scope and time estimates for data-related activities for prospective effort.
Evaluate the data needs for projects and advise on approaches and solutions to meet them.
Develop and maintain data diagrams and models using approved tools.
Ensure that developed content aligns with architectural design and performs as expected.
