Data Engineer

Description:

Client is looking for a Data Engineer to help set up their tools, operations and monitoring in the cloud as they migrate their SAP environment into Azure. 
This will help establish and increase the throughput as the ETL engine is being built out to create the data libraries for their on-premise and cloud environments. Candidate should be experienced in Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL and SSIS ETL. The Data Engineer will work to manage their backlog of new sources, intake sources, establish data it is generating, identify how it is accessed and set it up. 
Candidates should be comfortable data integration for ETL jobs, packages, ADF using multiple source and target systems. 
Candidate should be comfortable using API, JAML and various connector for staging into Azure SQL and ADF. 
Must have experience with SQL and ETL performance tuning. 
Strong collaboration, communication and interpersonal skills are desired to work with internal teams.

This will help with Client transition to a more cloud-centric environment for SAP and additional workloads by ensuring the tools, operations and monitoring to be performed in the cloud is properly set up and established. 
Candidate will help to build out and increase the throughput of their ETL engine through creating the data libraries for on-prem and cloud infrastructure.
