Description

Key Responsibilities:

Evaluate the performance of the current ETL pipelines built with the legacy version of Talend.
Identify areas for optimization to improve processing speed and efficiency.
Provide recommendations for performance enhancements or code improvements.
Assess the feasibility of transitioning to a different open-source ETL tool, if necessary.
Ensure compatibility with MySQL data warehousing and Qlik Sense for BI reporting.
Document findings and provide a comprehensive report with recommendations.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Extensive experience with Talend, including deep knowledge of its legacy versions.
Proficiency with other open-source ETL tools besides Talend.
Strong experience with MySQL data warehousing.
Familiarity with Qlik Sense for BI reporting.
Ability to analyze and optimize ETL pipelines for better performance.
Experience in migrating from legacy ETL systems to newer or different ETL tools is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:

Experience with open-source ETL tools such as Apache Nifi, Apache Hop, or others.
Knowledge of cloud-based ETL solutions, though not required.
Additional Information:

The client is not using the newer Qlik Talend, which is a cloud-based ETL tool. They are open to exploring other free ETL options that do not require licensing fees.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in a global context as the client is upgrading their ETL load for global operations
