Data Migration - Oracle

Job Description

 

• Primary database skill Oracle Server
• Analyze on premises transactional database environments such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, evaluate and plan migrations to AWS RDS, Aurora
• Develop enhanced database PLSQL scripts/TSQL to migrate from source database to target database
• Identity workarounds for specific issues and corner scenarios observed during migration
• Develop test plan and testcases to demonstrate database readiness post migration
• Good communication skills
• Experience in Database Administration - installation, configuration, database access management, backup and restore, replication, high availability, disaster recovery
• Hands-on experience on AWS Services - RDS, Aurora, SCT, DMS
• Experience migrating large databases > 1TB in size across multiple database engines (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB, etc.)
• Experience with heterogenous database migrations
• Experience in performance optimization techniques
• AWS Certified Database - Specialty Certification (preferred)
• AWS Solutions Architect Associate Certified (optional)
• Experience in ETL workflow management (optional)
