The Role
Query-based and algorithmic programming, logical structuring, and cross-functional communication are some of the skills required for this position. You will be expected to work independently and learn as you go, solving for roadblocks as they arise and proactively identifying new areas for improvement. Your key data insights and contributions will be critical to defining how we pitch and grow our products.
Responsibilities
As a Data Scientist, you will be directly involved with productionalizing content recommendation models. Anomaly and outlier detection, clustering, trends prediction, and relational attributes are just a subset of the tool chest you will build. Leveraging your varied skill set, the developed mathematical models will be used to offer the most relevant content to marketers on TwG.
The ideal candidate is an independent, solution-oriented thinker with a solid background processing huge data sets, applying analytical rigor and statistical methods, and driving toward insights and solutions. You are a well-rounded top performer who can “crunch the numbers” one minute and critically think through strategic implications the next.
Skill/Experience/Education
Mandatory
BS in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, OR a related discipline, OR 3+ years of relevant experience with quantitative focus 2+ years experience with SQL, and a programming language like Python working on extraction, transformation, and aggregation of very large and messy data sets Experience building automated jobs that manipulate data; specifically, having built out data pipelines is a plus Analytical thinking / Problem solving skills - connect the dots between the data to develop hypothesis for product and growth team to take action

Strong communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to represent, and influence discussions involving quantitative concepts and data-based stories
