JOB TITLE: Data/Reporting Development
CLIENT: FWS Environmental Conservation Online System
LOCATION/HOURS: Falls Church, VA – Mon – Fri 8am – 5pm ET
CITIZANSHIP STATUS: US or Green Card/Permanent Resident (must pass background check)
PROGRAM OVERVIEW:
United States Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS), Ecological Services (ES) needs information technology (IT) support for Environmental Conservation Online System (ECOS) while they are migrating all current applications and related components to the cloud.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information technology or 5+ years of full stack development experience.
- Knowledgeable in elaborating reports using Reporting Tools (SSRS, Quick Sight, C#, JavaScript, etc.).
- Writing database queries in PostgreSQL/PostGIS.
- Knowledgeable in Data Integration to Relational Databases.
- Experience in data analysis and report development environments.
- Experience with JavaScript libraries like jQuery and React.
- Knowledgeable in Advanced SQL Query (SSME, etc.).
- Experience in continuous integration using Jenkins, Artifactory.
- Experience with GIT, Bitbucket, Apache Tomcat.
- Experience with writing UNIT tests.
- Experience in automating data imports from a data warehouse (SQL Server) into an access database and providing automation for comparing imported data with what users have provided to that access database and generating various reports on the differences between the two data sets.
- Ability to communicate with end business and technical team.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail.
- Experience with extensive documentation.
