Job Description:
Under minimal supervision and direction by clear policies and procedures, supports the District's desktop computing environment through building workstations (Macintosh, Windows) and installing and configuring software. This position also maintains incident and request ticket documentation by adhering to the System Incident Management process.
Job Duties:
- Maintain incident and request ticket documentation by adhering to the Incident management process
- Build, configure and deploy workstations, including special use hardware and software (loaners, conference, shared, or nonstandard)
- Properly record asset data in the Asset Management database
- Determine asset serviceability; reuse, repurpose, or surplus PCs, Macs, etc.
- Support International travel by adhering to policy and procedures, including scanning or configuring laptops
- Perform logistic operations to send and receive assets to users
- Develop, read, and interpret technical documentation

Qualifications and Skills:
- Intermediate knowledge of technical components and their underlying support components such as: Windows and Mac Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Products, VPN, DSL, Symantec Antivirus, Active Directory, Remote Assistant, SMS, desktop and laptop PCs, and general browser-based technology.
- Exemplary customer service and communication skills; oral and written
- Experience with Remedy or other ticketing system
- Experience with remote access tools
- Consistently performs work with little or no supervision required
- Knowledge of VMWare for workstation virtualization
- Familiarity with software building, packaging, and delivery tools (SCCM, InTune, JAMF, Casper)
Education, Experience and other Qualifications:
- Associates degree with a major or specialized courses in: Information technology, Business Administration
- A minimum of 2+ years working in desktop computing support environment
- ITIL Foundations
- CompTIA A+ certification
- CompTIA Network + certification
- MCDST certification
