Job Summary
The Senior Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for the design, development, and delivery of all aspects of employee learning while ensuring alignment with overall organizational goals and values. The individual is responsible for the instructional design, implementation, and evaluation of learning and development programs, including new employee onboarding, and delivery of training and leadership development initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
Supports the planning, curation, development, and delivery of learning and development initiatives, learning technologies and solutions
Designs, procures, and coordinates appropriate learning & development initiatives based on identified needs
Evaluates existing programs and initiatives to suggest improvements
Manages relationships with internal subject-matter experts and external learning partners as needed to ensure the delivery to appropriate learning & development experiences
Uses an evidence-based approach to learning and development activities by performing needs assessments using a variety of sources to identify gaps in training, skills, and performance, and by evaluating and analyzing L&D programs to ensure alignment with business needs and organizational goals
Assists with facilitation and deployment of broader talent management and development initiatives, e.g., leadership programs, talent & performance management programs, manager development, etc
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field
5-7 years of experience in learning and development roles or in a related field
Experience in practical, learner centric learning and development program design, instructional design, facilitation and implementation
Stays up to speed with latest research, trends and innovations in learning and development
Excellent influence, facilitation, presentation, program management, relationship management and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Adult Learning/Education certification or a understanding of learning theories to design learning solutions at scale
Data-driven and understands relevant metrics to evaluate effectiveness of learning and development solutions and to iterate them based on data
Master’s in Organizational Development, Human Resources, or another relevant discipline
Experience as a LinkedIn Learning administrator or curator
Experience with using and optimizing learning management systems
Certification in key L&D assessment tools and methodologies (e.g, Agile HR)
