Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and capture new Federal projects, particularly in the DMV area.
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within government agencies.
  • Lead the end-to-end business development process, including market research, opportunity identification, proposal development, and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including technical experts and project managers, to develop tailored solutions that address client needs and objectives.
  • Work with organizational teams to develop capture strategies, proposals, and pricing as appropriate.
  • Leverage industry knowledge and expertise to stay ahead of market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities.
  • Represent Sky Solutions at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to promote brand awareness and foster business relationships.
  • Monitor and track project pipelines, forecasts, and performance metrics to ensure targets are met and exceeded.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on business development activities, opportunities, and outcomes.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, with a proven track record of success in winning Federal contracts.
  • Strong understanding of the Federal procurement process, including familiarity with contracting vehicles such as GSA schedules, IDIQs, and GWACs.
  • Demonstrated experience in selling technology solutions or services to government clients, preferably in the digital transformation space.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing strategic customer relationships.
  • Strong leadership and personal presence and the ability to quickly establish and build credibility and relationships externally and internally.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with C-level executives and government officials.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic business plans, with a focus on achieving revenue targets and business objectives.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven, with the ability to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
