Description

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support of all EDI systems including ITX, TMDS, EAI, SAPTM, Customer Portals, and other EDI focused applications.
  • Gather requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, design thinking, task and workflow analysis
  • Reviews and analyzes system problems to identify solutions or recommendations
  • Work with EDI, IS, and business teams to understand and document business process requirements, analyzing and validating for automation feasibility; assisting the core automation team in creating the business case
  • Perform testing, identify issues concerning solution performance, communicate required changes to the development team, and track resolution
  • System requirement identification and documentation analysis
  • Plan and facilitate workshops to identify and validate requirements with IS and business stakeholders in support of projects and opportunities
  • Build knowledge of the organization, processes, and customers
  • Solve a range of straightforward problems; analyze possible solutions using standard procedures
  • Receive a moderate level of guidance and direction
  • Leads process mapping/modeling and translates requirements into design
  • May be required to work irregular hours (weekends, after business hours)
  • May be required to perform on-call duties
  • Ability to adjust to changing priorities and manage customer/stakeholder expectations
  • Ability to manage change
  • Leverages best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services; Solves complex problems; takes a new perspective using existing solutions

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Experience gathering requirements, capturing working flows, and user acceptance testing of EDI systems
  • Excellent communication skills
  • EDI experience – transportation industry or railroad industry (highly preferred)
  • Experience with X12 EDI Standards
  • Knowledge of customer-facing EDI transactions and acknowledgments
  • Business analyst or project management, or equivalent experience
  • Process mapping and project management methodology
  • Ability to communicate effectively, strong written and oral skills to respond to internal and external requests for information
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and planning skills
  • Working with business stakeholders regarding process, procedure, and policy development or creation
