Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities 
       
Lead the electrical design on multi-discipline new construction and retrofit projects 
      
Develop, review and audit basis of design, construction specifications, construction drawings, 3D design and construction models, submittals, and electrical engineering system study reports (short circuit/load flow study, arc flash study, etc)   
    
Perform value engineering which utilizes alternative means and methods but keep the functionality of the systems 
      
Perform technical bid evaluation for the electrical equipment and electrical installation proposals   
       
Assist project control team to develop, review, update electrical design, procurement, and installation schedule to achieve the target
 Start of Production   
       
Review field observation reports from the electrical contractors and perform periodic field investigations 
       
Present technical material for review by technical and non-technical audiences 
       
Participate to develop the electrical design guidelines and discuss improvement initiatives 
 

Qualifications 
      
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering 
       
5+ years of relevant professional experience for buildings-related design projects 
      
Battery manufacturing, semi-conductor manufacturing, petrochemical plant design experience is plus 
       
In depth knowledge of electrical codes and standards such as NEC, NFPA 70E, IEEE, etc 
       
Ability to manage projects and prioritize effectively, balance assigned work and exceptional organization skills 
       
Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively deliver findings and recommendations to cross-functional teams
