Role: Engineer Manager

Role & responsibilities

Candidates must be development background and shall able to assist team for technological issues and solution

Lead and manage a team of minimum 20+ Developer and team leads, including technical managers, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and resources to excel in their roles.

Provide mentorship, guidance, and career development opportunities to engineering staff to foster professional growth and retention.

Oversee recruitment efforts to hire top-tier engineering talent and maintain a high-performing team.

Manage day-to-day activities of engineering teams and project managers, ensuring projects are executed efficiently against delivery commitments and project plans.

Utilize 12+ years of development experience in large-scale, mission-critical environments to provide technical guidance and oversight.

Conduct engineering design evaluations to ensure projects align with resource, budget, and scheduling constraints.

Seek opportunities to simplify and standardize designs, operations, and deployment plans, focusing on reducing complexity while enhancing performance, agility, and scalability.

Manage the operational budget and expenses for the engineering team, ensuring resources are allocated effectively to support project objectives.

Set, monitor, and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to measure progress and facilitate data-driven decision-making.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and optimize workflows for increased efficiency and productivity.

Collaborate with product management teams to drive product development initiatives from conception to delivery, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer needs.

Work closely with stakeholders to prioritize feature development, balancing technical feasibility with market demand and strategic goals.

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications

Bachelors or masters degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.

15-20 years of progressive experience in IT management, with a proven track record of leadership and achievement.

Strong background in software development, with expertise in Data Science, DevOps, Python, Front-end development, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Strong strategic planning and business acumen, with the ability to align IT initiatives with organizational objectives.

Excellent leadership and people management skills, with experience leading and developing high-performing teams.

Deep understanding of IT governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks, including relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM).

Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, with PMI or PRINCE2 certification preferred.

Broad technical knowledge across infrastructure, applications, and emerging technologies, with experience in cloud computing, cybersecurity, and digital transformation.

Proven experience managing complex IT budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships to achieve cost savings and operational efficiencies.

Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage and influence at all levels of the organization.

Commitment to professional development and staying current with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.
