We are looking for a system administrator who will be responsible for Installing, configuring, and maintaining servers and systems running Linux/Windows operating systems and hosting Engineering applications used for DevOps
Essential Job Functions:
Install, configure, and maintain servers and systems running with Linux and Windows operating systems
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability of Linux-based and Windows based infrastructure
anage and administer Engineering applications used in DevOps like Jira, CodeScene, Parasoft, Confluence, and other code analysis applications in terms of installation, maintenance, licensing, user management and upgrades with focus on application stability, resource management and optimization
Conduct regular audits, applying patches and ensure data integrity and security for the servers hosting these applications
Maintain all system backups and aid in the restoration of operations, as well as help with system resource and capacity planning
Manage backend Jira server in terms of performance, resource management, analytics and Jira Database
Assist in the planning and execution of Jira upgrades, patches, and migrations, particularly migration from DC to cloud
Monitor daily systems, evaluate the availability of all server resources and carry out all Linux server tasks
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree/MCA in computer science, information systems, or a related field
Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems, including Ubuntu, CentOS, or Red Hat
Experience in application administration like user, license and resource management
Proficient in Linux command-line interface (CLI) and shell scripting
Experience in Jira administration with instances on Data center and on cloud
Expertise in Script runner plugin (listeners, behaviours and Jobs
Working knowledge of Jira upgrade and migration activities
Knowledge of MySQL database administration
Familiarity with networking concepts, protocols, and services, including TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN
Knowledge of storage technologies, such as RAID, SAN, and NAS and virtualization technologies, such as VMware or KVM
Understanding of security best practices and experience in implementing security measures on Linux systems
