Years of experience?

  • Minimum of 2 years - familiarity with medical devices and the ability to perform as needed.
  • Open to engineering students fresh out of school as long as they are in the Engineering medical device field.
  • Medical device experience is highly preferred.

What will you do:

  • Troubleshoot automated conveyor systems; install photo-eyes, motors, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids.
  • Knowledge of PLC Control level issue diagnosis and maintenance.
  • Operate mechanical tools and equipment as required to fabricate or repair industrial parts and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment, hydraulics, or other mechanical systems.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical problems and perform root cause analysis in partnership with operations to solve problems and make improvements.
  • Provide basic support for the start-up of new equipment to ensure it meets all mechanical design specifications.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs for industrial equipment; analyze technical specifications, troubleshoot issues, and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Perform predictive and preventative maintenance of conveyor systems and electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, and provide technical support to engineers.
  • Performed all repairs for belts, roller conveyors, turntables, and paint sprayers.
  • There's a lot of testing to confirm pressure, pull, etc.
  • Will be using dimensional measurements with tensile and micrometers.
  • Tools used include tweezers, measuring microscopes, gadgets, and tensile (to measure the pull).
  • Familiarity with lab equipment, calibers, microscopes, rulers, and small hand tools is necessary.
  • Working in pairs with the lead tech to perform testing and document the data.
  • Manual data instruments.
  • Multitasking from one item to another, ability to prioritize.
