The Self-Reliance Division of the Department of Health and Welfare is seeking an expert Enterprise Solutions Architect to help us consider options for the modernized architecture of our existing systems.

The Department of Health and Welfare Self-Reliance Division is beginning our Benefits System Modernization efforts and requires a Solutions Architect to help the division consider options for the future architecture of our systems. We are seeking a highly skilled architect with expertise in various systems, who can enumerate the strengths, weaknesses, and compatibility with existing constraints of multiple architecture solution options. Applicants must be familiar with a variety of application technologies, environments, concepts, methodologies, practices, and procedures.

The Solutions Architect is responsible for learning about our current architecture solutions, understanding our high-level future vision, and delivering at least two proposals that outline the future suggested technical stack for the division that supports the department and division goals.

This position requires a creative, well-rounded individual who can work to support our existing architecture team with little to no direct supervision. The focus of the Solutions Architect is building out options for our future and proving those solutions with POCs and/or POTs as time allows. The ideal candidate will be a true consultant with a strong architecture background. The team is looking for someone that will make suggestions about the current technical environment and what would be recommended moving forward. The engagement is intended to be short term, and the team will jointly agree on deliverables within the first week of the engagement.

This role will mainly be remote, but the team prefers someone come on site for the first week to meet the team and discuss the project. A fully remote exception will be made for the right candidate.

• Experience defining Enterprise solution architectures
• Required 10 Years Experience developing cost benefit analysis of solution architectures
• Required 10 Years Experience in defining solution architecture that works across a variety of end user devices (e.g. smart phones, tablets, desktop apps etc)
• Required 10 Years Experience in migrating large scale on-prem applications to cloud computing infrastructure (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
• Required 10 Years Ability to collaborate with Enterprise Architect to implement PoCs/PoTs
• Highly desired 5 Years Hands on experience in web application full stack
• Highly desired 5 Years Hands on experience working with multiple cloud service providers, cloud certification preferred
• 10+ years IT experience with at least 5 years on web application full stack development
