The Esri Administrator will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's enterprise environment. This includes managing spatial and non-spatial data, ensuring data integrity, optimizing database performance, and providing technical support to users. The selected candidate will ensure the environment is highly secure, available, and recoverable.
• Design, implement, and maintain the organization's enterprise GIS environment. (e.g., ArcGIS Server, Portal, ArcGIS Online, Enterprise Geodatabases)
• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and security of the GIS environment
• Optimize database performance by monitoring and tuning database parameters, indexes, and queries
• Collaborate with internal partners to assess and prioritize GIS database needs and requirements
• Manage and maintain the GIS infrastructure, including hardware, software, and data storage systems
• Manage Esri ArcGIS enterprise and server administration, including software installation, maintenance, and updates on enterprise servers
• Monitor and report on the performance of the GIS infrastructure, providing recommendations for improvements and upgrades
• Stay updated with the latest GIS trends, technologies, and advancements to propose innovative solutions and improvements to existing systems
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance GIS workflows, user experience, and overall efficiency
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience with SQL Server
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Esri ArcGIS enterprise and server administration, including software installation, maintenance, and updates on enterprise servers
• Experience with Azure Cloud environments
• Proficient with GIS software, such as ArcGIS, QGIS, or similar tools
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Desired Skills
• Certification in GIS or related field. (e.g., certification from Esri as Enterprise System Design Professional, Enterprise Geodata Management Professional, or Enterprise Administration Professional)
• Experience with web-based GIS applications and technologies
• Knowledge of programming languages, such as Python, Arcade, and JavaScript
• Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques
