The associate will be responsible for the maintenance and flow of the sales department and all systems included as well as be responsible for the planning and execution of event-driven marketing initiatives. They will be responsible for overseeing the sales inquiries for expos and for ensuring all standards are being met by providing accurate and accountable information to potential clients, including spearheading the planning and execution of event space sales.
You will be responsible for finding target accounts, developing a robust pipeline and maximizing revenue closing key deals.
Basic responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing strategic sales plans
- Growing existing accounts
- Working closely with the senior management team to ensure that all stakeholders are informed regarding the progress of the sales team
- Identifying and developing new business opportunities
- Documenting the sales process and closing them successfully
- Ensuring that all business development activities are being followed and executed within a timely manner
- Providing support to the sales team on all aspects of the sales process
- Creating proposals and presentation materials
- Management of customer relationships
- Developing and sustaining long-lasting relationships with customers
- Preparing, reviewing, and finalizing sales proposals
- Utilizing social media platforms to garner customer interest and create brand awareness
- Preparing sales forecast reports and submitting them to management
- Collaborating with the marketing design and content marketing teams to produce quality material to boost sales
- Liaising with government agencies/bodies in order to get requisite support and approvals for events
Event specific responsibilities:
- Thorough study of the exhibitor and visitor categories: category markets, growth cycles, key players, ticket size, prime catchment areas, etc.
- Understand the sales structure for each event
- Sell stall spaces/exhibits to companies that fall under the vertical of architecture and design
- Work according to weekly and monthly targets
- Learn communication skills in order to guide the design team to produce collaterals for assistance in sales
