Field / Device Test Engineer

Skills and Experience
High-level qualifications:
A successful Senior Engineer, End-To-End Test in the commercial wireless organization will have:
A technical understanding of the wireless stack, the wireless carrier perspective, as well as wireless carrier network, back end systems, and devices;
Fluency in technical details of wireless software, cloud technologies, software and tools; proven experience with End-To-End testing of network functions and systems, and delivering tangible results;
Experience working across a broad scope of technologies, preferably carrier network functions and systems;
Field testing experience with device testing, device software configuration and updates, field test tools;
Perform field testing trips as needed to help teams in validating the 5G network in new markets.
Provide test device hardware support by preparing test devices for test teams and conducting regular inventory of certification test devices
General working knowledge in a cloud native-environment, with technologies such as AWS;
Familiarity with OSS/BSS functionality and systems, including use of the Postman tool;
General working knowledge on the 4G and 5G wireless network and call flows;
An independent self-starter mentality, not shying away from ambiguous situations, and addressing challenges quickly through creative problem solving; proven experience working in a test team and supporting team mates through solving the hard problems;
5 years of experience in technical validation and testing roles, in a wireless environment.
Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
